Bad hand callouses from working out, what can I do?
I do heavy weightlifting 5 times a week with Olympic bars, dumbbells, etc. for the past year. My palms of my hands have become very thick especially the area directly beneath where my fingers meet the top of my palm.
What can I do about this? I am not willing to stop working out. I used to wear weight gloves but they bunch up sometimes and make it easier to grip the bars thus I do not get the same workout for my grip (forearms).
Gloves are your best bet bro. I had the same problem. Try different name brands and wraps too. Wraps help a lot too. I like the Schiek brand myself. They're extremely durable and they help with a good work out.
Check this site out here to look around. I'd say get a pair that interest you, and try them out. Otherwise, unless you tape your hands or lift lighter weights (which I'm sure you don't want to do lol), you're going to keep getting those callouses.
Hope this helps you out.
