Forrest Griffin vs Anderson Silva is official for UFC 101 - who wins?
Forrest is a huge 205 pounder - and Anderson Silva could (yes, could) be the top pound for pound fighter in the world.
This non-title fight will take place at 205, and was just confirmed today - and should be a good one.
My gut tells me that Silva will win - BUT, I'm afraid to bet against Forrest, since he usually surprises me. That, and Silva has looked like a fighter avoiding a loss - rather than looking for a win - in his last 2 fights.
So I'm torn. Whatdya think?
Dana White wants to give Silva a challenge. And he gives him Forrest Griffin?
To me, Forrest is pretty much out of Silva's league skill wise. He's tough, got heart and got awesome conditioning. And he can take loads of beatings, ones he's going to eat from Silva. But Silva's skill will overcome Forest's heart and toughness. And Forrest is kind of a sloppy fighter. Against Silva, he will capitalize on them. But there's always a chance for a lucky punch and KO.
