Anyone out there do Muay Thai Training?
If so, I'm looking to begin Muay Thai classes. Currently, I have some 14 oz Boxing Gloves, Hand Wraps, and jump ropes. Are these enough to start classes with? The reason I'm asking is because I'm short on money for the time being and I don't feel like waiting until I have enough money to buy all the necessary equipments.
Second, what are the classes usually like for beginners?
Lastly, any general advice you'd like to share with a new person into the MA?

Yes that should be enough in most case. From my experiece, those are usually enough. In future you will may wnat to invest in some cheap socklike Shin Pads. but most gym will have a shin pads you can borrow.
The classes for beginner usually involve a lot of work out, repeating the same attack to develope your speed, technique, sharpness, and power. It does get boring over time but stick with it and once you're good enough, you will have more fun.
Lastly DON'T EVER! NO MATTER WHAT! DON'T DON'T ever roll anything or beat your shins with anything! That will weaken your bones which is a really bad idea in Muay Thai! Your shins will be really sore for first couple months and after that time to time but you gotta to do as teacher say and you will develope harder shins. If you have bump or bruise, what you can do is press your tumbs against top of your shins and force them down to force the blood run through the inuired spot (use oil or lotion help a lot). Also don't worry about speed at first, worry about getting your technique down first then once you have spar, you can see what you need to worry about.
