What is the difference between the new black UFC gloves and the silver/black & red/black UFC gloves?
Hi, im going through ebay looking for good Mma Gloves for fighting. The top choice is obviously the Official ufc gloves http://ufcstore.seenon.com/detail.php?p=43528 but i came across this gloves http://ufcstore.seenon.com/detail.php?p=43526&icid=mybuys&mybuyscid=7584055144 which are cheaper and seem to be the same as the other gloves. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the black gloves and this gray ones? (which also come in red)? why does the UFC use the black ones instead of these? Any remarkable difference? i greatly appreciate it.
the black gloves are the professional model, the other colored ones are originally Century MMA gloves which now have the UFC logo on them due to a licensing agreement. they are a much thinner glove and made from different, softer material and do not have a zelcro wrap as long as the black UFC glove. they are good for light sparring and bag work, the black pro gloves are good for heavy training and actual fighting. so if you want the higher end gloves, the black is what you want, if you want something cheaper that is not quite the same durability but will still get the job done, go for the red/ silver gloves.
