What makes clothes shrink after you wash them?
Is it the heat? I have a setting on my dryer that says, "no heat- Air fluff"...would this be ok, I"m gonna be washing my Jiu Jitsu Kimono and i can't have it shrink. Thanks!
I would wash it cold water and line-dry it if you're not in a rush (i.e. plan ahead and don't try to do this an hour before a class or something). If you must use the machine the setting you've mentioned is probably the best. You might also be able to get away with a setting for delicates, since that has heat but it's not nearly as hot as other settings. But so far with all of my clothing the ONLY way I have found to keep anything from shrinking is to line-dry it.
