in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu i just learned some awesome sweeps when mounted?
these include the hip up and kneepush opponents back and sweep, hip up with leg and arm trapped roll, hip up and push opponent hips up and repull guard. i tried these while rolling today and couldnt do any of them to a particular partner because he had his feet hooked under me while on mount. what should i be doing to nullify this counter this thanx it was extremely annoying because the dude out weighed me by about 70 lbs and i used so much energy any help is great
When a guy is in mount with his feet serpentined and locking your legs, it's difficult to sweep and pass. However, when they're that far down on you, it's easy for you to sit up and trap them. Get chest to chest, then lay back and kick your legs out straight. When you pull their head up towards yours and straighten your legs, they'll lose their hooks and you can execute your sweep then pass.
If you're talking about having his feet up under your back or has a figure 4 on the body, then he's playing a balancing act, so the sweep will be relatively simple.
