In amateur boxing, do you have to wear an exterior Groin Protector/guard or can you wear a cup?
For say, the Golden Gloves, is there any specifics on the types of cup/groin protection you have to wear? There's the over-the-shorts big guard that protects your hips and groin, and just the normal slip-inside cup.
Do you have an option? Or is one type the only allowed? My gym uses over-the-shorts guards but the GG videos I see online they're not wearing them.
The big guard that protects ur hips and groin goes UNDER ur boxing trunks in a boxing fight. People only wear it over there shorts in sparring but not in a real fight.
