Gloves good for Heavy Bag?
Im looking for some gloves that Mixed Martial artists would use for my heavy bag. I want something that are inexpensive but still durable. And they have to have good support in the wrists and knuckles. I was looking at these Evergel gloves but they are more like Boxing Gloves. So what should i buy?
do you have to train with Mma Gloves on the bag? cuz most people i know train with boxing gloves on the bag even if they fight mma. 1)bag gloves have more protection on your hands when hitting the bag 2)training with heavier gloves will give you better endurance and when you put on lighter gloves you'll feel alot faster
when i saw bj penn train for jens pulver a few weeks back even he is hitting the bag with regular boxing gloves.
and if im correct evergel arent actually gloves they are wraps to put on undergloves instead of traditionally wrapping your hands
trust me you get what you pay for to with gloves when i started out i bought some $20 everlast. stay far far away from everlast they dont offer much protection and fall apart after about a month. i've heard bad things about everlast from people on the internet other boxers and my coach.
if you want comfort and durable i hear titles gel gloves are good. im actually bout to buy them with my next check. look to spend at least $50-$60. title seems it be good thats what my gym sells its also a reasonable price. also good are cleto reyes and grant-people say they hurt more when hit with those. ringside, imf, and top contender
idunno whether you are planning on fighting but minimizing injuries is key when training so dont cut corners and keep your hands protected cuz if you injury them thats time off from training.
