Girls period question?
I am 14, a freshman, and 100 lbs.
I have not had my period yet but I have had discharge for a really long time, now it is getting heavier and more often.
is my period coming? All of my friends have theirs and they are around the same age.
I want to be prepared with it comes but I dont want to have to carry around pads wherever I go....how can I estimate when my period will come.
the discharge varies between a clear gel to a whiteish milky...
please help.

good luck with it! discharge is often a sign of a women about to start their period. When it comes, since its your first time, (speaking from my experience, I started when i was 13), it shouldn't be really really heavy, so just when you start to feel a little something different down there, go to the bathroom & check it out! you cannot estimate when it will come for the first time, but after your first time, keep a period calendar, so you know when to expect it. But be aware, it sometimes takes a while for a girls period to be norma;, as in the same time each month. If you have issues after a while with your period not being normal, then I would suggest you talking to your mom about seeing a gynecologist, maybe they can set you up with some birth control or something to try to help regulate it if it bothers you!!
