Will wearing these prevent me from having any broken ribs or legs in a CAR accident?

I'm referring to someone hitting the driver's side door at a high speed NOT THE FRONT. (I cant afford a safe car)

Shouldn't these 2 be helpful I mean if a helmet is helpful why wouldn't these be?

Well I think they could help to a certain extent. Looking at the photos, I think that each apparatus would be helpful. However you have to look at it this way. The damage will indeed be lessened however i don't know that it would keep someone from suffering broken bones or ligament damage. It could slow the process and keep the force of the damage decreased but what is most important to understand is that the impact of a vehicle is what matters. The thing is you can suffer some kind of damage while wearing a helmet. It is true that you won't suffer major damage with a helmet, because your head is not exposed. But again the risk is still there, just decreased. But it all depends on the impact of the accident. If you are hit from the side at high speeds then the likelihood of broken bones even with those body braces you can still suffer damage. It also depends on the weight of the vehicle. My answer is yes it can help but how helpful depends on the impact speed and weight of the force.
