Would my Parakeets/Budgies fight if I got 2?
I want to get one parakeet this year and a medium sized cage, then next year I want to get one more then buy a flight cage, I am doing this because I'm only 14 and only make about $100 a year. And I can't aford a cage for 2 until next year.
But would he fight with the new parakeet because he had had a cage all to himself for that long? Because that's how my fish were, I had one alone for a month then bought 3 more and it fought with them. I know fish are VERY different from birds but could this happen?
Should I just get one, thats what I personally want to do but I want him to be happy and have a friend with him, even though he will be in my room, with lots of toys in his cage and he will be let out daily. Do I really NEED 2 birds for him to be happy?
It's possible for that to happen. If they won't stop, spray water at them, clap loudly, or gently blow on them. This should get them distracted.
