How to wrap your knee?
I have knee pain when I walk or run. I am in sports basketball and volleyball. I am not sure why I have knee pain. but it will be swollen after practices or a game. It sometimes will look discolored on sided. My knee cap move to the inside part of my knee when i push on it. This is on my left knee. I don't have the time to go but a knee brace or ACE bandage but I have athletic tape. How do I wrap my knee? Someone Please help.
before you get hurt on the basketball court I suggest you have a doctor take a look at that knee and get an x-ray. Kneecaps usually do move around a little when you push on them, but you should not have pain and it should not be swollen after practices...something is going on there. Sometimes just rest (lifting your leg onto a stool when you sit) every chance you get over several weeks time can take care of overuse or misuse, but discoloration is scary. I've tried to used an expandable brace on my knee but can't use it for over a couple of hours and surely can't use it during the night as it can curtail blood flow and caue problems. An ace bandage is merely tape and will expand and won't help that much if any. When it swells try soaking it (your leg) in Epsom salts (usually that brings down swelling). You can buy that in the grocery store.
